The History of Shatter
The history of shatter is unclear, but it is thought to have originated in Asia. The drug was likely brought to Europe and America by traders and immigrants. Shatter is a relatively new drug, so little is known about its long-term effects. However, we do know that shattering can be very dangerous.
Shatter is made from the leaves of the cannabis plant. Cannabis plants are usually grown outdoors, but they can also be grown indoors under special lights. Once the plants are harvested, the leaves are dried and then shredded or ground up. The resulting powder is mixed with water and other chemicals to create shatter.
Shatter is a type of hash oil, which means it contains high levels of THC, the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Hash oil is another method of use.
The translucency of shatter does not prove its purity but instead is the result of how it is made. During the heating process, as the cannabinoids and terpenes are extracted from the plant the liquid is not agitated, resulting in a smooth, translucent texture. Unlike other concentrates, which are continually agitated during the heating process, causing them to have more of an opaque color and waxy texture.
